Authentic Hong Kong Food @ James on Hastings

Hi everyone! I just got back from an impromptu trip to Hong Kong and now I'm back to my normal routine. Last night, I had the chance to meet the owner of James on Hastings. I decided to try out their food and found it to be delicious and authentic. I'd love to share a genuine Hong Kong food experience with you all. This restaurant is a hidden gem and the prices are very reasonable. We went there after dinner, so we only ordered some light bites to go with our drinks. I really enjoyed the beef noodles with tangerine peel & shrimp paste (陳皮蝦醬干炒牛河), the egg yolk deep fried fish skin (咸蛋黃炸魚皮 - deadly but super yummy!), and the deep fried silver fish (椒鹽白飯魚). Put on your casual tees and shorts, and enjoy a real Hong Kong 小炒 experience with me. The restaurant is at the corner of East Hastings and Slocan. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.
